About

Dante Mireles, a Denver-based baritone, first stepped on stage as a high-school chorister and in comprimario roles with South Texas Lyric Opera in his hometown of McAllen, Texas.

A recipient of the Nordan Music Scholarship, Mireles earned his Bachelor of Music from Texas Christian University and his Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the mentorship of César Ulloa. His repertoire spans the worlds of comedy, tragedy, and myth, from the wounded soldier in The Falling and the Rising to the commanding Music Master in Ariadne auf Naxos, the Father in Hansel and Gretel, and Publio in Clemenza di Tito.

Mireles made his professional debut in 2022 with Long Beach Opera as Polidarte in Giustino, and the same year joined Opera Colorado as an Artist in Residence, performing Marullo (Rigoletto), The Mandarin (Turandot), and covering Fritz (Die tote Stadt). With Opera Colorado’s touring productions, he has appeared as the Major General (Pirates of Penzance), Mercutio and The Prince (Romeo & Juliet). Additional recent highlights include covering Messner in Bel Canto at Aspen Music Festival and performances in The Telephone and Hand of Bridge with Art Song Colorado.

Beyond roles and stages, Mireles is drawn to opera’s ability to create communion—between artist and audience, between tradition and innovation. His work reflects not only a pursuit of technical mastery but also a personal mission: to show up prepared and empowered to be what is needed for connection and growth. Each performance becomes an opportunity to create a safe, growth-oriented space where music can do its deepest work—bringing people closer to themselves and to each other.

Music is not only performance—it is preparation, connection, and growth shared in real time.
